In his personal life Gucci was sentenced to serve 6 months in jail for assault in 2005 and was also charged with murder although those charges were dropped at a later date. He also served 12 months in person on probation violation due to his assault conviction from 2005.
After the album “The State vs Radric Davis” he changed his record label “So Icey Entertainment” to the name “1017 Brick Squad Records” for unknown reasons. He hasn’t a new album since 2013 and as of now there is no release date for any album in the future.
Gucci has been hit with some financial issues and in November of 2013 he filed a lawsuit claiming financial damages against his ex manager Debra Antney and also Waka Flocka Flame who is her son and also a fellow rapper. Gucci claims in his suit that Antney and Waka took millions from him and basically “robbed him blind” while he was a client of theirs. He claims that jewelry was stolen and they mismanaged his assets, royalties and business dealings. Gucci has openly said that he is basically broke and not to mention he has some IRS debt issues he is dealing with as well.
